Widespread Screen Envy

Hey Now! Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends. I you have been playing along for a few years here at flysrb.com, I really slowed down on content. Life is still moving right along, and I am still enjoying the show. I just don't get around to putting our adventures in print. Or the equivalent. So thanks for finding this!
The usual suspects for a 3 night AC trip. We exchanged our Dollar Tree Valentine's Day cards and candy and hit the road. Great weather for winter road trip. The Cape May ferry was rockin' as we entered Jersey. Foxy got a salt water spa treatment. We pulled into Nazareth feelin bout a half past dead- I mean at 11.00 am. Today's local, Maggie has our deluxe Junior Suite in the Ocean Tower all set as we walked up. Of course we ask how she and Renata are doing, everything is lovely for the Polish Spinster Sisters.
We enjoy the VD specials at Breadsticks while watching the wind blow the bundled up touri downbeach. Back to the room and Sweet Ti notices that there's a message flashing on the phone. I listen- damn! I forgot all about the flowers I ordered from South Jersey Florist. I made up some excuse that they had an issue so I could retrieve said flora.
Happy Valentine's Day my love!
Sweet Ti takes a break to unpack and chill. Time to earn my keep. Let's see what today's free slot play looks like.
Believe it or not they still have 8/5 BP from .25- 1. on old school slants to boot.
Tasty! Now for something to cover up the nasty per-fume they use here.
Jim??????
Great game except for the nasty volatility. A different being catches my attention. We were playing another version earlier.
Take us there JJ........
MEOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well Hey Now! That can only mean one thing. Time to go upstairs and do my second favorite thing to my Sweet Ti.....
just doing my job Ma'am.
Sweet Ti came back down with me and we played for hours and then decided to take break . I escort S.T. upstairs. She is done for the evening. Back to the action, I noticed there were 2 12x cashback icons on the today's promos on my account at the kiosk. I knew I had one that I was going to activate tomorrow, but I wasn't sure about the other one. So I clicked on one and it activated 12x cashback. When I checked the screen again both icons were gone. WHAT? So I boogied over to the player's club. No dice. Once the decision is made that's it. Oh well, guess that means I need to keep on trucking.
Good ol' Karma Kat
One of the reasons we are here is to catch Widespread Panic. They are playing a 3 night stand next door. It's kinda a big deal because their lead guitar player Jimmy Herring has been dealing with cancer. We can surly relate. We have tickets for the Sunday night show. As they say " Never miss a Sunday show " . Plus as an added bonus- Mark and Becky are coming in and are staying next door. Nugs.net are streaming an audio feed of the show each night so that's just lovely! I took a break to go over to the Hard Rock and check out the merch table for the show. There's usually posters for sale the first night. They sell out quick. I enjoyed mingling with all the Good People and scored a really nice Owen Murphy poster. 50/200.
Show opener- "Ain't Life Grand"
Well it's been a lovely sweethearts day. Profitable too. And the best is yet to come.
02.15.2025 Wonderin' where they're goin' *
Hey
Now! Slept in till 7 a.m. These things happen. I mean I get up for work at 4
a.m. so it was time for a catch up. I got in Coffee Elizabeth from DD before the
crowds descended and we chilled in the room and procreated
danced. Noice...
Once again we played for hours. Mark called and said that they had an ETA of 1:30. I have reservations at Doughtery's for 5:30 so we decided to hit the Club for lunch. Today's local, Mein escorted us to a nice quite section of the joint. Mein has been waiting tables here since the get. She's always so chill even when she's swamped. She sat us in a little enclave over by the dessert section. Very quiet.
Cheers!
I sense a feline theme going on here.
Queue the percussion please James!
The mythical Jade Drum!
What a fun afternoon with my Sweet Ti. I grab our monthly wino quota from the player's club and today's promo- a $75 Visa gift card. We head upstairs to get ready for our dinner. Mark and Becky have checked in next door and Mark has a slot tourney to play in. So we walk over to the Hard Rock to root him on. Or at least try to. Only the contestant is allowed into the room that's set up for the slot play. He craps out but does walk away downing 2 fingers of Maker's Mark and a Heiny. We stroll back to Resorts. It's nice to use the walkway over Pennsylvania Ave. and avoid going outside. I usually try to av oid going outside at all when I'm here. During the winter that is. It's about time for our dinner reservations and I stop by the hostess desk at Doughtery's to see about a table. There's he raw bar is packed on account of Happy Hour. A guy is setting up onstage with his guitar. That's one of the reasons I wanted to sit out here instead of inside the main restaurant. The hostess confirms my comp (thanks Steph!) and tells me to check with the Raw Bar's hostess to be seated. Well we can't find her and so Mark proceeds to push together 2 of the small tables and they sit down. I finally sort things out and we are are seated. We will be Taylor's customers this evening. We order drinks and a dozen oysters to start out. Tasty. Calamari, and crabcake sliders follow. As we are eating, the evening's entertainment starts. This dude and his guitar fill the space with music. And I mean fill it. We can't hear each other talk. Taylor comes around to take our entree orders and we literally had to point at the menu to order. Look, I like music a lot but this was ridiculous. The guy was pretty good but still. The main course was presented and we feast. Of course just about the time we finish the Music Man takes a break. Go figure. But we enjoyed ourselves and our company. We even had leftover comp money and left with plenty of cheesecake for late night munchies. Another lovely repast. We were probably much too generous with Taylor's gratuity especially given the ambiance or lack of. Well we split up with our Gen Xers and wish them luck with their gamboling pursuits. Sweet Ti and I head up and chill for a bit.
I introduced Ti to this guy......J.J.????
This guy is no MST3K or Dr. Madblood but he's on MeTV that they carry here.
I've got a hankering for some VP.
ROYAL!!!!
Delta time please Jimmy-
Parley Jim?

One more time Mr. James.......
Wow!!! Shoulda been playing DDB....
I ended up cashing out a 500. TITO. It's been a lovely day and the best is still yet to come!
During this evenings session I've been enjoying the audio simulcast from next door.
Tonight's opener:
02.16.2025 Hey! What's your job?
Hey Now! No major rush into the game once again. Being that it's Sunday morning. I got down around 7:30. I stopped by the kiosk to check out today's promo. Amongst the offerings is 12x cashback. That's just lovely.
Insert coin.
mandatory hundy into this machine every trip
These look fun. Roll 'em Jimbo!
Same again please J-
Coins for days
Woof Woof Woof Jim!
Tell 'em Lou!
Becky and Mark moseyed over and joined us for some play. We wandered about for a good while and ended up at Lucky Wealth Kitty.
Dueling Minors!!!
I've got a slot tourney on tap so we all go over and I get checked in by today's local, Ron . Ron has been the voice of casino promotions here for probably longer than we have been playing here. He always seems to be running them AND announcing them. Nice guy.
I haven't played one on these Cleo machines. It's the usual set up. hit the Max Bet button as fast as you can while touching the screen
to obliterate objects. We begin and I have my left hand hovering over the screen. But I'm not seeing any on screen objects. The attendant comes over and tells me to move my hand and suddenly the objects begin appearing. I commence touching. The whole session is 90 seconds.
unbelievable
Man, if I had been playing correctly the whole time I would have had an even better score. They gave me a 10. food comp for the session win. I am probably going to have a shot at being in the money, but maybe not. We split up with our Gen X'ers. We will hook up with them next door before the show later. We ease on over to Breadsticks for our major meal of the day. It's still a mystery how it can take so long for the food to come out when there's only a few people eating. But the views are great. Again today it's really windy and chilly out. Such fun watching all of the Wookies scurry about. There's been a fair amount of Widespread Panic Fans out and about since we have been here. Happy people. Hippie people. And yes, Wookies. We have run into people from California, Texas, and Florida . Since WP don't tour like they used to, many fans stay for 3 night runs or more.
Sweet Ti & I head upstairs. Since we are leaving in the early afternoon tomorrow, we go ahead and do a bit of packing. Ti decides after on a snooze, and I head down to use today's free slot play and to print out an entry into tonight's sweepstakes. From 7 pm till midnight they are giving away free slot play by card level every 15 minutes. Then at midnight they are pulling 2 winners from each card level for Big Cash Prizes!. They are using actual screen drums which is kind of a throwback. We will be next door for the festivities for the duration anyway. The shows have been finishing before midnight so you never can tell. I turned in my entry.
I went up and we got ready and drifted over next door. We had a bit of trouble finding them. Mark kept saying they were over by the elevators. Not much help. But we found each other and pooled our funds on some machine. Winner winner! Another. Winner winner! We cashed out and said farewell for the evening. We got in line with all of the other Happy People. Our seats are pretty far up but the Estess Arena . This place holds around 5000. We quickly made friends with everyone around us. There was a gaggle of 20 something dudes from Kinston NC. A hippie chick turned us on to some show stickers. The show started right on time. It was awesome! Here's a sample. Jim?
Jason Crosby joined the band for all 3 nights.
My baby danced her little heart out. What a show. I also smelled very exotic and far away olfactory sensations throughout.
Take us out please J.J.
Thanks boys
